Easter

Easter
This word (seemingly derived from Austron, a Germanic goddess of sunrise and fertility, whose feast was celebrated at the spring equinox) refers to the celebration of the Resurrection of Jesus, which for Christians is the feast of feasts. The date of Easter in the Western Church is the first Sunday after the first new moon after the vernal equinox (on March 21). Due to different calendars, Eastern and Western Churches sometimes celebrate Easter on different dates.
